Lord of the Arena
“ | Gladiators quickly learn how to use any kind of weapon or armor, and know a wide variety of special moves and maneuvers designed to disarm, disable, or exhaust their opponents. The crowd must get its money's worth: Gladiators always try to prolong their fights rather than go for the quick kill. The bloodier the fight's end, the better. If you have talent, you should do pretty well. By the time your contract's up and you leave this place, you'll be a finer warrior than any mercenary legion could produce. To survive in the arena, you'll need tricks no fencing master teaches. Don't ever forget: this battlefield is a stage, and the people, above all, want a performance. Learn to move like a tiger, and dance like an Elf. Act for them, let them see your valor in every stride, or the pain in every movement. |
