Mastery Runes are special items that qualified players (level 20 and up) may use to gain the ability to train weapon mastery focus lines which they no not normally get included with their class. For example, a Priest is given the ability to train Staff, however he is not able to train Staff Mastery for additional attack rating and powers. By applying a staff mastery rune, he would then be granted that ability. Typically, the powers granted from such lines are of low level; it is recommended that you check specific class pages to see what level of powers will be granted first.

"One fragment of the great saga the All-Father crafted before time's beginning, this stone glyph is a splinter of some mighty hero's destiny - bind it to yourself to assume some of their power!"
Availability
Weapon Mastery Runes are distributed originally only by random mobile drops. The best chances can be found with monsters ranked three or above.

- Spear and Pole arm mastery runes have been found in Swamp and Jungle, such as Phaedra's Prize.
- Great Axe and Great Hammer mastery runes have been found in Northlands and Mountains, such as Ragnir Holm.
- Axe and Hammer mastery runes have been found in Grasslands, such as Derros Plains.
- Oblivion and Chaos zones have been known to drop all mastery rune types.
