Cambruin was the last high king of Humanity. He united all of the human kingdoms in the War of Tears, and wielded Shadowbane as he beat back the elves once and for all.
Tragically, Cambruin was killed near Kierhaven during the Day of Woe. Some believe that his very death caused The Turning.
