In Deveopment contains high-level concepts being discussed for future content in Shadowbane. These items come with no time table, and may not ever make it to a live server. Throughout season 5 we collected quite a bit of user feedback, as well as data from events happening in game. We are excited to share with everyone what has been going on behind the scenes.
Contents
Improved Launcher/Patcher
- We have been working to update our patcher to include additional functionality and security. This will reduce friction to manager your account. Note: Players who have been using a third party launcher will have their accounts removed.
Introduction of Proxies
- International players utilize VPN services to obtain playable ping to our server located on the US East Coast. This has caused some administrative overhead that the SBEmu team is looking to alleviate. Upon release of the new patcher, VPN's will no longer be necessary as client location will be detected and automatically directed to our geographically disbursed proxy servers the team has deployed. With this in place, we will be cracking down on the use of multiple logins by IP addresses.
Overhaul of Morloch's Revelry
- Morloch's Revelry (anti-zerg mechanic) was found to have many weaknesses this season, we have temporarily disabled to preserve game integrity. The team has been hard at work reworking the mechanics to restore the intended purpose and remove the ability to game the mechanic. This is scheduled for implementation on 10/25/2019!
Additional Content
- Mastery System - Rewarding for players who want to spend time to build out a main character, more information will be released as this makes it through our testing! These systems will be targeted at additional paths for character progression & build complexity.
Balancing
- Rangers? Glass Bows? The team has been evaluating community feedback for the next round of balance changes.
