Gold is the currency used in Shadowbane. Gold is originally found on mobiles, and the process of killing them specifically for gold gain is referred to as farming.
Uses
Gold has many uses:
- Barter between playing characters
- Purchasing items from vendors
- Purchasing deeds from a builder, or contracts from a steward
- Upgrading vendors, guards, and buildings within a city
- Repairing damaged buildings
- Funding the use of a siege spire
- Paying for maintenance costs associated with buildings and vendors
- Paying for the use of a banker
Holding Limits
- A player may hold no more then ten million (10,000,000) at a time.
- A bank or vault cannot hold more than twenty-five million (25,000,000) (1)
- A building's strongbox can hold up to fifteen million (15,000,000)
- A warehouse may only accept up to one-hundred million gold (100,000,000)
