Enchantments are magic affixes that appear on weapons armor, and jewelry when crafted in player cities, or found randomly on mob corpses. Items without enchantments are called non-magic and have a white title on their mouseover. Items with at least one enchantment are called magic and have a blue title.
Random Versus Forumula Crafting
When a player chooses to create gear in a city, they must decide whether to use random rolling or formula crafting.
Random Rolling
Random rolling means that the crafting player only chooses the base item that is created; all magical effects are randomized. The effect that is produced will never be more than tier three (see below). Higher-ranked NPCs will produce better effects more often. The advantage of random rolling is that it only costs gold, so players without access to mines or resources can still have access to viable equipment.
Formula Crafting
Formula crafting allows a player to choose the base item and the specific enchantments applied to it. This method requires specific resources, but it drastically reduces the time commitment and is the only way to obtain tier four enchantments. Tier Four - Ex-Pac
Tier four is the best type of gear that players can create, and is only available through formula crafting. All of these enchantments require the rare expansion resources of Bloodstone or Obsidian.

Human vendors, as the easiest to obtain, are not considered "racial" and are limited in their potential. They will not be able to create items with the restricted enchantments, nor will those enchantments appear when random rolling. Tier One
Tier one includes all gear below the agate tier. Any enchantments that are not in the above lists are considered tier one. This gear costs no resources to create, even when using formula crafting. This is the most common tier of enchantments found on mob corpses. Usually it is better to wait for good results from random rolling than to settle for gear as weak as tier one.
Creation Time and Mithril Crafting
Rolling time varies based on the rank of the vendor NPC, the rank of the forge they reside in, and the level of the item they are tasked with creating. A fully-ranked (R7) forge can craft the top tier of items in 4 hours. A fully-ranked Sage can craft lower-level rings and amulets in 7.5 minutes, and low-level staves in 2.5 minutes.
Mithril
If a player has Mithril (
) in their warehouse, any gear creation they perform will consume one unit of it and only take 5 seconds. To conserve mithril, city owners should tick the "lock" box on their warehouse to prevent it from being used.
Mithril can be found as a random loot drop from hotzones.
