Grand Master or "GM" is a skill grade which represents the highest level of training in the standard 40-point scale for powers, weapon styles, or stances. The act of training a power to 40 trains is said to be "grand mastering" it.
Usage
Powers
A power can reach grand master status by way of training. While most powers require you to train them up as you progress in level, some are granted at grand master when you obtain them; for example a wizard is granted the power Astral Tether at Grand Master (40), and there is no need to train it whatsoever. Some powers may be granted free bonus points, but will still need to be trained before they are Grand Master. An example of this is the rogue assassin's "poison blade" power, which is granted with 20 points.
Stances
A stance level varies depending on one's base class and prestige class, but beyond these two variables is fixed and unchangable by the bearer; one cannot train stances.
Weapon styles
Much like stances, weapon powers vary depending on one's base class and prestige class.
