"Shadowbane" Acrylic 2002
“ | Back in 2002 I read an article about Ubisoft's then-upcoming massively multiplayer epic, "Shadowbane." The game had a fun backstory so I thought I'd paint a picture.
King Cambruin is just about to defeat the treacherous elves once and for all, when an unrevealed member of his trusted party betrays and murders him with the fabled sword, Shadowbane. By lucky coincidence, the sword goes straight through the King and into the Tree of Life which happens to be right on the scene. As a result, the world is shattered into dozens of pieces, and the stage is set for the game to begin. |
