Hammers

- Pros: Many stuns and powerblocks, stance knocking power, physical damage debuff
- Cons: No def cut
- 2 handed
- Pros: Many stuns and powerblocks, stance knocking power, stamina damaging weapon power
- Cons: No def cut
Spear
- Pros: Stun, powerblock, some debuffs (physical damage debuff), most toons using it gets access to Wyrmslayer rune, which grants a nice power (DoT and snare)
- Cons: No def cut
Polearm
- Pros: Relatively high damage, stun, powerblock, physical damage debuff
- Cons: None (One should take note though that the slashing expose on the Polearm is shorter than the one on the axe, and therefore PA is considered somewhat subpar to axe)
Dexterity Based
Daggers
- Pros: Atk debuffs, exposes, bleeds, passive defense blocking power, healing debuff power
- Cons: No def cut, no stun, no powerblock
Unarmed
- Pros: Fastest attacks (procs), def cut, stun, powerblock
- Cons: No atr cut unless a toon is Irekei and has a Sundancer rune applied
Staff
- Pros: Slow animation + fast atk spd = bursts of damage, many stuns and powerblocks, attack speed debuff
- Cons: No def cut
Blademaster/Bladeweaver
- Pros: Access to sword powers ( STR/Dex debuff, bleed), stun, powerblock, def cut
- Cons: None
RANGED
Strength Based
Throwing Hammer
- Pros: Somewhat faster than throwing axes, a ranged stun (3 sec duration), a ranged snare
- Cons: Can only be rolled with suboptimal enchantements, no def cut
Throwing Axe
- Pros: Relatively high DPS, ranged powerblock (9 seconds, this is videly considered very useful), a ranged snare
- Cons: Can only be rolled with suboptimal enchantements
Dexterity Based
Throwing Dagger
- Pros: Fast (procs), a ranged snare
- Cons: Can only be rolled with suboptimal enchantements, no def cut
Bow
- Pros: Overall good weapon powers, long range (150 units), can ground any flier (even natural)
- Cons: No expose to it`s damage type, no stun, no powerblock
Xbow
- Pros: Overall good weapon powers, long range (150+ units), a potential for high bursts of damage, can ground any flier (even natural)
- Cons: No expose to it`s damage type, no stun, no powerblock, expensive powers
