Season 8 of SBEMU - The Raiders of Chaos

Season 8 introduces a win condition for Shadowbane. A Player Nation that holds 5 R8 Cities unlocks the ability to win the server. Completing the "Win" event will trigger a 2-week window, during which the server will decay and reset (or close if there is a lack of interest). Force of Perdition will be active throughout the world - spawning at Mines with groups of various sizes and strengths. Mines that are not captured by Player Guilds/Nations will send their resources to Perdition. Using the Raidstone system, Player Guild/Nations can raid Perdition to win a percentage of the gold and resources stored in the Warehouse.

• When: Friday October 10th, 2025 at 3:30 PM ET
• Support Model: Best Effort. Players who subvert game rules will be banned, and their cities will be removed
• Downloads: Client Launcher and Game Download will be available on 10/9/2025 around 7 AM ET
• Multibox Penalty: Yes

Server Win Condition

• 5 R8 Cities must be held by the Nation
  • Minimum of 1 R8 City in an Ice Realm
  • Minimum of 1 R8 City in a Desert Realm
  • Minimum of 1 R8 City on Undead Isand OR Swamp
  • Minimum of 1 R8 City on a Mainland Realm

Mine Raiders

• 16 different groups chosen at random to spawn at Mines when the window opens
• Difficulty ranges from Easy (1 player could solo) to Very Hard (1 group to clear)
• If the Mine has not been claimed by a Player Guild/Nation when the window closes, the Mine will be claimed by the Perdition Nation, and all resources will route to the Perdition warehouse

Building Resources

• Buildings will now have resource costs in addition to Gold costs
• All buildings align their maintenance time to the Tree of Life

Heightmaps

• Implemented server-side heightmaps

Meta

• Spells, Gear, and Formulas are consistent with Season 7
