When a player has no guild or nation, he is said to be Errant. The crest symbols will appear grey and the player will suffer certain penalties. His experience gain from PvE will be halved and he will get no experience from PvP. Errant characters are not bound to a city and will spawn at a randomly selected ruin everytime they enter the world or die. A guild that has not yet accuired a city or nation is an errant guild.
