Attack rating, or ATR, is one's ability to land a hit on a target versus their defense.

Formula

Attack Rating can be calculated using the following formulas <ref>Confirmed Game Formulas</ref>:

Melee

  • (Dexterity or Strength depending on weapon type /2) + (Primary Skill * 4) + (Secondary Skill * 2) + (Attack Rating Magical Bonuses on Weapon(s) and Buffs) + (Stance Modifer) + (Special Attack Modifer)

Spell

Hit-roll

Regardless of one's defense or attack rating, there is a five percent chance of success for every event. This is known as the hit roll.
