A Priest's direct connection to their Patron grants them truly wondrous powers: in addition to healing and curing all manner of maladies, Priests can call down the wrath of their Patrons to smite foes with holy or unholy power. Many Priests spend their lives catering to the needs of one community, protecting and nurturing their flocks in an uncertain age. Others, driven to spread the faith of their Patron, roam the World, advancing their Patron's agenda and converting as many new worshippers as they can.

Overview
Priests represent absolute devotion to one of Aerynth's many faiths. Though they can inflict no damage themselves, they are among the most dangerous foes you could face. Under a Priest's care, a congregation are nigh immortal, recovering from cuts, blows, and weariness with a mere word. If angered, a Priest may loose the sanction of the Gods, rendering the offender dumbfounded.

Playstyle Tips

The Priest is the only class in the game completely geared for support play. He has the highest healing per second output, the best stun in the game, and the fastest ability to strip debuffs from allies. His shoulders must be broad for his allies live and die by his tactical play and quick reactions. Though the core powers are all the small, there is a vast amount of variety for Priest builds so you can tailor the character to adapt to the most common hurdles you face.

  • Brawls have been started over the "best" Priest build and the arguing begins immediately at creation with your race choice. Centaurs naturally high Spirit, Constitution, and mobility make them a very popular choice. Depending on the whims of the meta for a server, Centaurs are either above or below Dwarves for the most popular Priest race. Dwarves have the highest natural Constitution and their access to Toughness can breed Priests with over 5k health which makes them EXTREMELY hardy. Their naturally low Intelligence however keeps them in check and allows the debate to rage about whether they are or are not better than Centaurs. Aracoix make situationally unique Priests with their access to a second root, second percent heal, and stacking mana regen buff from Savant as well as the ability to mitigate melee damage with flight. Usually the other races are reserved for very niche builds or necessity bred from loreplay.
  • Priests are highly vulnerable to mana management issues. In addition to getting some mana regeneration enchantments on your gear, you should note that walk stance drastically increases your regeneration rates so it's vital to switch to walk stance when you are not trying to reposition yourself. The best Priests are those that can spend the least amount of time moving so they can stay in walk stance the longest while also being in the group effect range of Sacred Healing, Sacred Rejuvenation, and Divine Recovery.
  • If ever one were to invest heavily in Spirit on a character, Priest is the class to do it. There is A LOT of debate on whether it's better to go more heavily in Intelligence or Spirit but it is not debatable that Priest, more than any other class, gets the most mileage out of stats in Spirit. Regeneration is percentage based so naturally the larger your mana pool, the more mana per second you regenerate which can alleviate mana management issues.
